Saturdays & Sundays in October means our popular Eye Spy Trains are back for Halloween. Great for kids 8 and under, but really families of all ages, Montgomery Parks’ Cabin John Miniature Train and the Wheaton Miniature Train & Carousel will be dressed up as “Trainslyvania.” Tickets will be made available for purchase online (beginning October 1) and trains will run Saturdays and Sundays beginning October 6 and ending October 28, 10a – 6p.
Children and adults alike are captivated by our miniature trains running through Cabin John Regional Park and Wheaton Regional Park. The trains are replicas of the 1863 C.P. Huntington, a 4-2-4T steam locomotive purchased by the Southern Pacific Railroad and named in honor of Collis P. Huntington, President of the Southern Pacific Company.
Children young and old are enchanted by this historic symbol of bygone days. The beautiful Ovid Hazen Wells Carousel was built by the Herschell Spillman- Company of Tonawanda, New York in 1915. It features 33 jumping horses, three zebras and two chariots! Learn more about the carousel on the Wheaton Train and Carousel page.
