2020 Spring Eye Spy Trains

Back for 2020! Montgomery Parks’ Eye Spy Trains will be running at both Cabin John Train and Wheaton Train and Carousel through our April Weekends. Will you be able to find ’em all? An activity that is great for families, each child under 2 rides free with a paying adult. The trains will run from 10a-6p and tickets can be purchased online and in-person at Cabin John and just in-person at Wheaton for $4 during Weekends in April and the week of April 6-13 (MCPS Spring Break). Tickets can be purchased online at or onsite the day of for Tickets for Cabin John’s Eye Spy Trains. Tickets for Wheaton’s Eye Spy Trains can only be purchased in-person.

All Aboard!

Children and adults alike are captivated by our miniature trains running through Cabin John Regional Park and Wheaton Regional Park. The trains are replicas of the 1863 C.P. Huntington, a 4-2-4T steam locomotive purchased by the Southern Pacific Railroad and named in honor of Collis P. Huntington, President of the Southern Pacific Company.

Ovid Hazen Wells Carousel at Wheaton Regional Park

Children young and old are enchanted by this historic symbol of bygone days. The beautiful Ovid Hazen Wells Carousel was built by the Herschell Spillman- Company of Tonawanda, New York in 1915. It features 33 jumping horses, three zebras and two chariots!
