Ovid Hazen Wells Recreational Park is a 290-acre recreational park located west of Ridge Road in Clarksburg, containing three picnic shelters, two playgrounds, a slide mound and swing area, a carousel, a skatepark, two soccer fields, one baseball field, and two softball fields. Ballfields may be booked separately.
The park is wheelchair accessible, and includes three portable toilets, and four bathrooms (two ADA accessible bathrooms) at the carousel house that are available April through October. There are 76 parking spaces and three accessible parking spaces close to the shelter. With a total of 297 parking spaces and 16 accessible spaces throughout the park.

Picnic Shelters
Pack a picnic and bring your family, friends, co-workers, or group to Ovid Hazen Wells Recreational Park! Shelters are available to reserve from April 1 – October 31.

Each picnic shelter can accommodate up to 90 people and includes picnic tables and a grill, and allows catering.
Shelters can be reserved through our Park Permits Office or online through ActiveMONTGOMERY.
