Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Park spans across 95-acres and features several trails and an exercise station. M-NCPPC acquired the area in 1976.

Our park provides 2.8 miles of hard- surface wheelchair and stroller accessible trails, used by hikers, skaters and bicyclists.

Circling the pond is a HeartSmart Trail. This 0.8-mile trail is recognized State-wide for heart health conscious users that may be starting a rehabilitation or exercise program.

It starts at the kiosk by the path next to the parking lot just past the Swim Center. Follow this level 0.8-mile hard surface path around the park. Bronze medallions on paths guides walkers every 1/10 of a mile to track traveled distance.
