How To Register For Programs
Remember, you will need to use the website: ActiveMONTGOMERY to register for classes and programs. This system allows you to register for classes and programs hosted by both Montgomery Parks and Montgomery County Recreation!
- Visit the website Activemontgomery
- Click on the setup an account link on the front page.
- Fill in the information and continue to click “Next” in lower right corner of the pages until you have submitted all the information requested.
- Click the button on the final page “Create Account” in lower left corner of the screen.
- You will receive a welcome email confirming your account.
- Click on the confirmation link included in the message to complete the registration process.
- Now you are ready to register for programs at Montgomery Parks!

Weather-related cancellations
During inclement weather, nature facilities follow Montgomery County Public School closures, delayed openings, and early releases. If school is closed due to inclement weather, all children’s programs are canceled. The cancellation of adult programs is determined on a case-by-case basis. When in doubt, call us at 301-962-1480.
