Children and adults alike are captivated by our miniature trains running through Cabin John Regional Park and Wheaton Regional Park. The trains are replicas of the 1863 C.P. Huntington, a 4-2-4T steam locomotive purchased by the Southern Pacific Railroad and named in honor of Collis P. Huntington, President of the Southern Pacific Company.
Spring Eye Spy Trains

Ride on the Petal Path at Wheaton Regional Park and the Lady Bug Loop at Cabin John Regional Park this spring as our trains leave the station for the 2026 station. Tickets will be on sale starting Monday, March 16. The Spring Eye Spy Trains have been a family favorite for years as our young riders are handed an “eye spy” card to see if they can find spring-themed items placed along the tracks.
Open daily March 28 to April 6 and on April weekends. 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
