How old must I be to reserve a facility?
Montgomery Parks requires that anyone renting a facility be at least 21 years of age.
Is alcohol permitted?
Alcohol is permitted only in our three group picnic areas located in Cabin John Regional Park, Valley Mill Special Park, and Parklawn Local Park. In these areas, alcohol is limited to beer in kegs and wine in litter bottles. No alcohol is allowed elsewhere on park property.
Can I bring my own grill to the park?
Our picnic shelters and group picnic areas have grills available for your use. Additional charcoal grills are allowed in some of our parks, but not all. Please contact the Park Permit Office for more information.
Are generators allowed?
Generators are only allowed to support the use of a Moon Bounce, and only if you have received written permission in advance from the park manager.
Can I have music or a live band at my event?
No. Our parks are located within or very near residential areas; loud noise or amplified sound is not allowed. This means live bands, musical groups, instrumentalists, or individuals providing music are prohibited, as is the use of speakers or stereos to amplify recorded music or sound.
