Picnic Shelters for Every Occasion
Our covered picnic shelters offer convenient locations, scenic settings and affordable rates for get-togethers large and small. Reservations are accepted starting January 1 for the upcoming season, and all shelters are available for use from April 1 - October 31.
NOTE: You will not be able to complete your reservation unless you have a ParkPASS account number. If you don't have one yet, please go to www.ParkPASS.org and sign up today. These accounts are FREE, easy to set up, and will make your future bookings quick and convenient. Plus, as a ParkPASS holder, you'll be able to book park facilities and register for classes and programs online 24/7 from the comfort of your home or office!

- Local Park Shelters
These open picnic shelters are located in local parks and have picnic tables, access to permanent restrooms or portable restrooms, grills, limited on-site parking and can accomodate up to 40 people. Some parks may also have playgrounds, permitted ball fields and amenities for people using wheelchairs. Day Rental Fee: $90 all day, $60 for 9 am to 2 pm or 3 pm to 8 pm, plus security deposit * Please contact the Park Permits office directly for half day rentals. - Recreational and Regional Park Shelters
These shelters are located within our larger regional and recreational parks offering many types of recreational activities, regional/recreational picnic shelters vary in size to accommodate 25 to 125 people per shelter and include picnic tables, grills, restrooms, and limited parking. Renters may take advantage of the other amenities offered in the park; some require permits and fees to use. Day Rental Fee: $125-225, plus security deposit * - Private and/or Group Picnic Areas
Our semi-private group picnic areas feature sheltered picnic tables, grills, horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, playgrounds, nearby play field and can accomodate up to 175 people. Sports equipment is included with each reservation. Day Rental Fee: $330, plus security deposit * Alcohol allowed at Deluxe shelters with special permission from the Permit Office.
Rules and Regulations
All Permit Holders must follow M-NCPPC rules and regulations, contract rules and regulations, as well as the specific Guidelines and Conditions of Use as stated on the facility permit.
