Description
The Robert C. McDonell Campground offers 7 walk-in primitive
sites. Campings feature grills, tables, a campfire circle
and pit toilets. There are two tent pads on each site. Two
picnic tables per site, plus a grill and fire pit on each
site. Depending on the site, up to 10 campers can be accomodated.
NOTE: Camp sites are available year-round with no running water between November 1 and March 31, and are permitted to

Directions
Cabin John Group Camping Area is located on the stretch
of Tuckerman Lane that runs between Westlake Drive and Seven
Locks Road. Going North on Old Georgetown Road, turn left
onto Tuckerman Lane. After going through the intersection
at Westlake Drive, the camp site entrance is located on the
right. You can get to all sites from either parking lot, but
these are the closest parking areas.
NOTE: There are two port-a-johns in each parking lot - one regular
and one handicapped accessible. There are two parking lots:
Lower sites # 1, 2, 6, 7 and upper sites # 3, 4, 5
