Welcome to our website! From here, you can LEARN more about how to reserve Park shelters, activity buildings, campsites, athletic fields, and other permitted park facilities, FIND the facility that best fits your needs, and APPLY for your date.

Announcements

  • Due to severe budget cuts and a shortage of available staff and supplies, effective September 1, 2010, Montgomery Parks will lay out and paint local park fields only once at the beginning of each season. Teams and leagues will need to restripe local fields as needed throughout the season. Restriping must be done over existing lines only, using the same colors initially put down by the Department of Parks. If a local field is damaged as a result of a storm, flooding, vandalism, etc., Parks staff will lay out and paint the field again with new lines.

    This change will not apply to regional and recreational park fields. Those fields will continue to be laid out and painted by Montgomery Parks as appropriate for regular, seasonal use. We appreciate your understanding.

  • Local park field fees will increase from $3/hour to $5/hour for the Spring 2011 season. This was approved by the Planninig Board on Thursday, May 20.
  • The Silver Spring Permit Office hours have expanded to 8:30am-7:30pm every Thursday and Friday to better accommodate our customers. We hope you will find the new hours more convenient.
  • Sign up for Parks ALERT today to receive immediate notification of field closures via your email, cell phone, PDA or other portable device!
  • In order to book any permitted Park facility, you first need to open a ParkPASS account. Go to www.ParkPASS.org to sign up today! These accounts are FREE, easy to set up, and will make your future bookings quick and convenient. Plus, as a ParkPASS holder, you'll be able to book park facilities and register for classes and programs online 24/7 from the comfort of your home or office!
  • Attention athletic field users: Please help us take care of our fields and respect the closure dates and our official inclement weather policy. Violations of this regulation are subject to a $100 fine and denial or revocation of future permits.
