Notification of Proposed Project

Montgomery Parks, M-NCPPC, is planning to install a Skate Spot in Woodside Urban Park.  The new Skate Spot will provide youth in our community with enhanced play opportunities.  The Skate Spot will complement the existing facilities in the park and provide young people with a well-designed and safe place to skate.

The Skate Spot is intended as an interim use in the park.  A permanent skate facility will be considered as part of the overall renovation plan for the entire park.  The Facility Planning process for the renovation will start in the coming months.  The Community will be invited to participate in the planning and design of the park.

As requested by the Woodside Civic Association after the public meeting on November 4, 2009, Montgomery Parks has sent an illustration of the proposed Skate Spot for further review and comment to the community.
