Project Description
This project renovates and replaces the existing playground in Opal A. Daniels Neighborhood Park, located at 7515 Hancock Avenue in Takoma Park.
Background
The existing playground will be removed and a completely new playground will be installed closer to the shelter. Local park playgrounds are typically 3,500 to 5,000 square feet in size and include playground equipment to meet the needs of children from ages 2 to 12. Typical types of equipment include swings, play structures, and smaller freestanding pieces of equipment such as spring rockers or spinning elements.
Status/Project Update
The playground design is 100% complete. Click here to view the final design.
