Project Description
This project renovates and replaces the existing playground in Edgewood Neighborhood Park, located at 13900 Robey Road, Fairland, MD.
Background
The existing playground will be removed and a completely new playground will be installed in its place. Local park playgrounds are typically 3,500 to 5,000 square feet in size and include playground equipment to meet the needs of children from ages 2 to 12. Typical types of equipment include swings, play structures, and smaller freestanding pieces of equipment such as spring rockers or spinning elements.
Status/Project Update
The playground design and equipment was developed by incorporating public suggestions and comments gathered by the project manager from the adjacent community. Public comments and suggestions were solicited between April 14, thru May 2, 2011. Click here to review the final playground layout and equipment.
