Project Description
This project renovates and replaces the existing playground in Bedfordshire Neighborhood Park, located at 11416 Bedfordshire Avenue, Potomac, MD.
Background
The existing playground will be removed and a completely new playground will be installed in its place. Local park playgrounds are typically 3,500 to 5,000 square feet in size and include playground equipment to meet the needs of children from ages 2 to 12. Typical types of equipment include swings, play structures, and smaller freestanding pieces of equipment such as spring rockers or spinning elements.
Status/Project Update
Working together, M-NCPPC staff and and the community produced a plan for the playground. The construction documents are currently being produced. Construction is scheduled to begin this summer.
