Brookside Nature Center offers quality programs featuring the natural and cultural history of Montgomery County and the surrounding region.
Do you have a new, fancy camera that’s still sitting in its box because you’re afraid to use it? This one-day introductory course is designed for those who may have been intimidated by instruction manuals that span hundreds of pages, but still yearn to get “out there” and capture great images of the natural world.
You will discover the fundamentals of camera operation, controls, composition and the concepts at the heart of all good photography: exposure and light quality. Brookside Nature Center will provide you the perfect canvas to get outside and capture images of nature.
The course will be led by Dennis O’Keefe, a local Maryland photographer with over ten years’ experience in digital photography. Mr. O’Keefe’s landscape and nature photography has been exhibited in art galleries in Maryland, Virginia, New Hampshire and the District of Columbia.
For ages 16 and up.
September 24th, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
