Ovid Hazen Wells Recreational Park

Ovid Hazen Wells Recreational Park is a 290-acre recreational park located west of Ridge Road in Clarksburg contains three picnic shelters, a playground, one baseball field, two softball fields and two soccer fields.

Ovid Hazen Picnic Shelter “A”

12001 Skylark Road, Clarksburg, Maryland

Park capacity is 75-100 people maximum. The park is handicap accessible. Park includes one large grill, a portable toilet, and play equipment. Ballfields may be booked separately and do not automatically come with reservations. Port-a-johns available April through October. Catering is permitted. There are 29 regular and four handicap parking spaces close to the shelter with 62 additional spaces adjacent to the shelter parking lot.

Home of the Annual Clarksburg Kites Festival
Join Montgomery Parks and the Clarksburg Foundation for free family fun day!  The Annual Kites Over Clarksburg is held at Ovid Hazen Wells Recreation Park, 12001 Skylark Drive in Clarksburg the last Saturday in March each year.  Bring a canned food item, used eyeglasses, or hearing aid to donate to local charities and receive a raffle ticket for prizes from local sponsors.
