Full Day Camps for children ages 6-8 / 9:00 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.
FULL! July 6-9 It's Fundamental Ages 6-8 #99551 We'll be naturally inspired as we create and experiment with the four elements: fire, earth, air and water. Learn how to make a bread oven, cool off with a stream splash, excavate for clay, concoct "explosive" chemical reactions, plant a mini garden, make a rock collection and learn about these important, non-living components of our ecosystem. Register here.
FULL! July 12 – 16 Herps!: Ages 6-8 - #99554 They creep they crawl they don’t scare you at all or do they? Herps, reptiles and amphibians, inspire dread in some people but delight in others. Come join us as we investigate the lives of slithering snakes, legless lizards, frolicking frogs and confusing caecilians. Register here.
July 19-23 Tracks, Scats and Signs!: Ages 6-8 #99561 Do you enjoy solving mysteries? Be an environmental detective learning how to look for the clues left behind by the local park "inhabitants" and understand what they might mean. We will go out in the mud and dust to hunt down illusive animals in the park, set up game cameras to find out who visits the park at night, and learn to follow a trail that others mark! Register here.
FULL! July 26-30 Bugs Alive: Ages 6-8 #99549 Rear a caterpillar, feed a 3 inch long cockroach, case a butterfly, munch on a mealworm (barbeque flavored!) and experience many other thrills that come from living in the age of insects! Register here.
FULL! August 2-6 Dinosaurs Rock! Ages 6-8 -#99603 Step back 65 million years as we get up-close to the fossils of some of the most fascinating animals that ever lived! Have you ever seen the braincase of a T-Rex? How about a tooth or claw of one of the hunting raptors? We will hunt for “dinosaur” eggs, make fossils, go on an excavation and much, much more. When you are done with camp you will see why DINOSAURS ROCK! Register here.
August 9-13 Wild in the Woods: Ages 6-8 #99649Come to a camp where it’s OK to act like a wild animal! We’ll prowl, growl, croak, and caw to learn about the lives of the real wild things! Register here.

FULL! July 12-16 Survival of the Fittest Ages 9-12 #99559 Forget the island in the Caribbean, what would you do if you were dropped off in Cabin John Regional Park without any implements or modern conveniences? Could you survive? By examining the evolutionary wisdom of plants and animals we can learn a few tricks that will enable us to simply enjoy being outside. Come prepared to cook wild edibles, build a fire without matches, construct a stick shelter, make natural insect repellent and find your way without a compass. We'll learn that survival is not just a matter of wily adaptation, but also lots of wild fun! Register here.
