Our goal is to provide a program that is seasonal and interesting to the birthday child. Sample parties we have presented include:
Where do animals go and what do they do during the cold, winter months?
Fungus, Bacteria, Invertebrates – the F.B.I. this is an investigation program into decomposition.
Offered all year, this program focuses on the ways Native Americans of the eastern woodlands used the plants and animals in their culture and traditions.
Celebrate your big day around the campfire! Roast marshmallows by the fire, then enjoy a nature walk with one of our naturalists. Offered year round.
Meet some of our resident creatures and search outside for slimy and scaly friends. Offered year-round. Ages 4-10
What animal has claws that crush or that can freeze solid? What animal has amzing speeds? Nature is full of animals with super powers and this party introduces participants to the wonderful amazing abilities of the animals we find in the surrounding woods. Ages 4-10
Where would a fairy be without a toadstool to hide from rain? Fungi and small creatures abound in the woods and this is a fun way to understand their important role.Offered year-round. Ages 4-10
Be a C.S.I. and learn how to identify skulls, tracks, and signs to help solve mysteries taking place in the woods and at the pond near the nature center. Offered year-round Ages 6-12
Learn how to tap trees, collect sap and make maple syrup in this very sweet adventure. We’ll see the process from beginning to end and enjoy a taste of syrup too! Offered January- February. Ages 4+
Visit a real 1870’s homestead cabin and learn about the way children might have celebrated a birthday through work and play. Offered year-round. Ages 4-10
This springtime program includes a tadpole hunt.
While not everyone can be a Monarch, this late summer/early fall party is about monarch butterflies and all princes and princesses can learn about this fascinating insect.
