Surrounded by 26 acres of wooded park land, The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek is the natural setting for all types of social gatherings as well as business meetings. Seneca Lodge is a handsome log cabin featuring a towering stone fireplace, cathedral ceilings and a panoramic view. The large, exterior wooden decks offer your guests beautiful views of an open field and wooded backdrop.
Planning a wedding? The Lodge is the perfect rustic setting for weddings! Ceremonies are typically held on the lawn followed by a tented cocktail hour, then a reception and dancing inside the Lodge.
The 30' x 60' Seneca Tent is installed and available for rent April through October. It features a flagstone tent pad and a beautiful patio area. The tent can accommodate 120 seated and up to 150 theater style or for a standing cocktail-style event. The tent (addtional fee) is most often rented for 3 hours and utlized as a covered area for wedding ceremonies or cocktail hours. Your guests can enjoy your event indoors and outdoors!

Seneca Lodge is managed by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) and is located in Camp Seneca public park. The Lodge is utilized as an Event Center and is one of 4 Montgomery Parks Event Centers. The Lodge is available for viewing during Open Houses so patrons are encouraged to visit us during open house hours. RSVP's are not required for Open Houses, but strongly encouraged, esepcially for those who already have a reservation, so that we can better asisst you! You may RSVP to the open house by e-mail. Dates are booking quickly, so you may want to e-mail the reservation office to check for available event dates as well.

The 30 X 60 Seneca Lodge tent is available for rent April through October in combination with the Lodge. Ceremonies are often held on the lawn, follwed by a tented cocktail hour and an indoor reception! The tent is a permenant strcutre April through October. It will be onsite during this period and will not be removed. Saturday dates, April through October, require the rental of both the Lodge and Tent.

*Please note: Effective October 1st 2014, Montgomery Parks reorganized our Park Event Centers and Melissa Bonds is the new Venue Manager of Seneca Lodge. For the past 2 years, Melissa has been the Reservations Manager for Woodlawn Manor and the Agricultural History Farm Park Event Centers. We hope this change will allow all clients to receive more efficient customer service and assistance with planning their events at all our Event Centers.

*Please be advised that current reservation contract holders who made their reservation prior to March 1st, will continue to follow the pricing and social event rules and regulations on their current reservation contract. For example, if you booked a reservation for June 2, 2015 prior to March 1st 2015, you will continue to follow the pricing and rules received at the time the reservation contract was created for you. If you have any questions or concerns about your current reservation contract for 2015, please feel free to contact the Reservations Manager.
Lodge (year round): 120 guests seated with room for dancing; 150 guests standing, cocktail-style or seated, theatre style.
Tent (April - October): 120 guests seated; 150 standing, cocktail-style or seated, theatre style
Maximum Seated Capacity of the venue is 120 guests. Seneca Lodge does not permit events with more than 150 guests. Events with 120 - 150 guests may utilize the Lodge and/or Tent as a space for a standing/cocktail style event only.

Reservation holders may select any licensed and insured caterer of their choice.
All alcohol must be served by the drink, by a professional bartended (provided by the caterer).
Business: 8-hour rentals Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm or 9am to 5pm
