Ag History Farm

Sitting along Rock Creek in Derwood, Maryland, the 410-acre Agricultural History Farm Park ("Ag History Farm") includes a turn-of-the century farm house and barn, contemporary Activity Center and beautiful meadows. These are perfect settings for your wedding or other social occasion.

The Bank Barn has a maximum capacity of 100 guests. Tenting options outside the Barn (for an additional fee) are available, but may only accommodate up to 100 guests. Many caterers require the use of catering tents, which must also be rented.

The Barn is not heated--and due to its historic nature, no heaters or open flames of any kind are allowed in the barn or on the farm (including sterno used by caterers). No glassware is allowed in the barn or on the farm with the exception of Mason jars and beer bottles during permitted events (disposable glassware is recommended). Beer and wine only (no hard liquor) are allowed during Barn rentals. Please keep these rules in mind when booking your event and contracting with a caterer. Smoking must be kept 50 feet away from any Farm structures in designated smoking areas only.

Sparklers and fireworks are illegal in Montgomery County, MD and are strictly prohibited anywhere on the Farm.

The Barn is available for rent Saturdays and Sundays May - September. The Farm is not available for rent during the month of October due to the many Farm activities, which are scheduled annually.
