Montgomery Parks offers indoor and outdoor tennis courts and year-round classes for all levels and ages. Playing tennis is a great way to develop a healthy lifestyle while socializing with friends. Whether you’re a beginner, a serious player, or someone who enjoys the occasional game, it’s all right here!

Outdoor Tennis Courts

Outdoor tennis courts are conveniently located in 127 regional, recreational, local and neighborhood parks throughout Montgomery County. These courts are available on first-come, first-served basis, unless they have been reserved through the Park Permit Office.

Tennis Instruction Programs

Montgomery Parks offers a wide range of affordable tennis instruction programs for players of all ages and levels of skill. A complete listing of our tennis classes, programs and camps can be viewed at, or in the quarterly eGuide here.

Four Ways to Register:

  • Online: Register 24 hours a day, seven days a week for all activities at
  • By Mail: Fill out and sign the registration form and mail it to: ActiveMONTGOMERY, 4010 Randolph Rd. , Silver Spring, MD 20902
  • Via Fax: If paying by credit card, you may fax your complet­ed, signed registration form to 240-777-6818.
  • In Person: Stop by any Montgomery County Recreation location, or Montgomery Parks location offer­ing activities that require registration. Bring your completed registration form or fill one out on site. PLEASE NOTE: Montgomery Parks locations can­not accept credit cards for in-person registrations.

Private lessons with accredited instructors employed by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission are available. Please contact the facility directly for information. 

Please note: Only contracted Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) instructors may teach private and/or group lessons and charge a fee on Montgomery Parks tennis courts. Any member of the public is welcome to work with other direct family members on Montgomery Parks tennis courts.
