Along with the many fine features in this popular park, both children and adults are entranced by a ride on the miniature train. The train is a replica of the 1863 C.P. Huntington, a 4-2-4T steam locomotive purchased by the Southern Pacific Railroad and named in honor of Collis P. Huntington, President of the Southern Pacific Company. A party room at the Cabin John train station is available for rentals.

Reserve Your Party Dates for the Cabin John Train Party Room!
The Party Room at the Cabin John Miniature Train is perfect for your child’s next birthday party or family celebration. The spacious Train Station Party Room party room features a fun train motif, and can accommodate up to 50 people. As part of the birthday party package during the Regular Season (spring, summer and early fall) at Cabin John Train, you'll get:
- Use of the Party Room for 2 hours (choose from 10am-Noon, 1-3pm or 4-6pm)
- Use of tables, chairs and refrigerator
- 20 complimentary train tickets
- Special photo opportunity for the birthday boy or girl on the locomotive engine
- Special "no-wait" priority seating on the first train ride for your whole party
We are now taking reservations for Regular Season (spring/summer/early fall) rentals. Download the 2013 Cabin John Train & Party Room brochure here for all the information you'll need, including "Frequently Asked Questions" and an application.
In the winter and early spring, the train is put to bed, but the Party Room at the Train Station is still available for fun from December through early April at reduced off-season rates! The party room is heated with restroom facilities.
We'll begin taking reservations for next year's Off-Season (December 2013-early April 2014) at the end of September 2013.

Directions
From I-270 take Exit 1A and merge onto Old Georgetown Road/MD 187. Turn left onto Tuckerman Lane and continue to the park entrance.
