Along with the many fine features in this popular park, both children and adults are entranced by a ride on the miniature train. The train is a replica of the1863 C.P. Huntington, a 4-2-4T steam locomotive purchased by the Southern Pacific Railroad and named in honor of Collis P. Huntington, President of the Southern Pacific Company. A party room at the Cabin John train station is available for rentals.

Seasonal Hours of Operation
The train is now closed for the winter and will reopen in the Spring. Please read the following information about our Party Room, which is available for rent during the winter.
Cabin John Train Party Room Rentals
Alert - We are currently taking reservations for winter party room rentals through March, 2010. Reservations for our Spring & Summer rental period from April through August will be taken beginning Monday, March 1. Information will be posted on this website with 2010 prices and hours in mid February.
The Party Room at the Cabin John Miniature Train is bigger and better than ever! The room has been expanded, and can now accommodate up to 50 people. For our winter rental period, the party room is available for rent however, our train is not running.
Winter Rates (November - March): $125 for a 2-hour time block
Choose from two time slots: 10:00 a.m.- Noon or 1:00pm - 3:00pm
OR rent the Party Room for a full day (10:00am - 4:00pm) for $250
A $50.00 non-refundable security deposit is required to secure your reservation and will be returned to you after your party if the room is left in acceptable condition.

Directions
From I-270 take Exit 1A and merge onto Old Georgetown Road/MD 187. Turn left onto Tuckerman Lane and continue to the park entrance.
