Parks Internships

The Collegiate Internship Program is designed to provide realistic work experience in park management and recreation to qualified college students who anticipate careers in these areas. Other fields of study are also available. Interns will be assigned to work with Montgomery County Department of Parks staff on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week) and will be compensated.

Dear Applicants,

Due to budgetary constraints, the collegiate internship program has been cancelled for Summer 2010.  We do invite you however, to seek out  seasonal or volunteer positions within the Parks Department.  Please visit the websites below to obtain more information regarding these opportunities.

Student Eligibility

  • Students must currently be enrolled in a degree program at a college or university at the undergraduate or graduate level or attending a technical school pursuing a professional license.
  • Prefer students with at least a 2.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
