At the regular meeting of the Montgomery County Planning Board on September 16, 2010, Parks staff will present the Draft Master Plan Josiah Henson Special Park.

This is the next step in planning the future of this park, this project will prepare a Master Plan to convert the site into a public museum dedicated to the topic of slavery and the life of Reverend Josiah Henson whose 1849 autobiography inspired Harriett Beecher Stowe's landmark novel, Uncle Tom's Cabin.
Montgomery Parks, M-NCPPC, invites you to participate in a community meeting to discuss the future design of the Day Use Area at Little Bennett Regional Park. The Park is located at 23701 Frederick Road, east of MD 355 and west of the Sopers Branch in Clarksburg, MD.
Park staff is developing a Facility Plan for the Day Use Area in the park. Preliminary design concepts for access, parking, picnic areas and other amenities will be presented at the community meeting. Staff will incorporate your input into the Facility Plan, which will be presented to the Planning Board for its review and approval at a later date (to be determine).
