Beginning March 13, 2010 the Mill Gallery will be open weekends between Noon and 4pm. HMAP sponsors a variety of events and activities throughout the year. Artist's receptions are scheduled for Saturday or Sunday afternoon near the beginning dates of each exhibition.
Art exhibitions, literary events such as poetry readings, musical events, and classes are held on the first (and sometimes second) floor of the mill or in the Miller's House. Exhibitions of paintings, prints, sculpture and other visual arts are scheduled approximately monthly from April through October and are open to the public on weekends.
Invitations to HMAP activities are posted on the web site, advertised on flyers posted in the area, and distributed by e-mail, and on special occasions, by standard mail to members and friends. All HMAP activities and events are open to the public.
HMAP also hosts meetings, classes, talks, tours from area schools and other non-art specific events at the mill when they are in keeping with the organization's mission to promote the cultural heritage of the region. Call the HMAP office to schedule visits.

Join Montgomery County Parks Certified Weed Warrior Supervisor, Larry Hush, and Natural Resources Specialist, Lynette Scaffidi, as we manually remove invasive plants and vines from the woodlands along the Northwest Branch Stream. We will hike along the rocky fall line of the stream to our work area, so be prepared to walk on rocky, uneven trails for about ¼ of a mile . This is a spectacular section of the stream, come help protect this Montgomery Parks treasure. Please join the effort to help save the trees from the threat of non-native invasive plants.

Meet at the Hyattstown Mill park entrance parking lot to Little Bennett Regional Park off Rte 355. Join Montgomery County Parks Certified Weed Warrior Supervisor, David Fryauff, as we manually remove invasive vines along both sides of the Western Piedmont trail. For this project we will focus on removing the non-native invasive wintercreeper vines. This is the only area that wintercreeper has established itself in Little Bennett. Help us eradicate this invasive plant and help save the trees.

Bring your kids (ages 6-13) for a day full of activities, including an ice skating lesson and tennis lesson (weather permitting), arts & crafts, and fun team games and sports. Activities vary with weather, group size and children's interests.
