The Mission of the Horticultural Reference Library at Brookside Gardens is to be a resource for Brookside Gardens & Montgomery County Parks staff, the citizens of Montgomery County, and any other individual interested in learning about the science and art of Horticulture. Adopted 1997.

Master Gardener Plant Clinics
New weekday Plant Clinics added! Master Gardeners are now available to answer your plant and garden related questions Wednesdays and Thursdays, 1p.m. to 4p.m. beginning April 14 and running through October, 2010.
Weekend plant clinics are offered year round. Stop by the library Saturday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., and Sunday, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. (year-round).

Resources
The Library houses a collection of approximately 5,000 volumes on plants and gardening for adults and children. It is a reference collection; therefore books are not lent to the public.
The Library also subscribes to approximately 30 periodicals and receives newsletters from local plant societies and garden clubs. A file of nursery catalogs for seeds, plants, and gardening supplies is updated regularly.
