Carol Vorosmarti considers herself a painter of nature and finds her inspiration in both exploring new locations and in the intimacy of her garden. She is fascinated by the light, texture and color of the outdoors and tries to express that in her watercolors.
“What I am trying to achieve is a happy union of subject matter and feeling. I want my paintings to transmit the joy of the transparent medium.”
Carol is a graduate of Arcadia University and has studied art locally with Margaret Kranking, Skip Lawrence and at many watercolor workshops. She has had exhibits at the Kensington Gallery, the Kentland Mansion and at Creative Partners Gallery. Carol has been juried into many shows including the Southern Watercolor Society, the Mid-Atlantic Regional Show, and various monthly Art League shows at the Torpedo Factory. She is a member of Potomac Valley Watercolorists.
