United We Serve

Volunteer enjoying pulling invasive plantsMontgomery Parks is joining President Obama’s call to all Americans to help in our nation’s economic recovery through service with the "United We Serve" Initiative.

Opportunities for your business

We are offering corporate groups the opportunity to help save native trees through service projects that involve removing non-native invasive plants in Montgomery Parks.

Volunteer enjoying pulling invasive plantsNon-native invasive plant species threaten the health and biodiversity of our parklands. These plants disrupt the ecology of natural ecosystems, kill our nativetrees, impact native wildlife, and degrade our wild areas. In the U.S. alone, invasive species cost over $120 billion annually in damage and control, and the cost they inflict on our natural heritage is immeasurable.

A United We Serve project would be a great opportunity for your staff to do some team building, get some exercise, enjoy the out-of-doors, and help save trees while being part of a national initiative!
