Bluegrass on the Farm

Join us for great blegrass in the grat outdoors! Starring at this year's event is the Frank Solivan and the Dirty Kitchen Band. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and instruments if you want to jam. Lessons from the Past

Kinglsey School House, Little Bennett Regional Park

Walk down memory lane to the one room, Kingsley School House and learn lessons from the past. Bring the family and tour the historic school building, meet former Kingsley students, play old-fashioned games, enjoy other hands-on activities. Bring your picnic and enjoy lunch by the stream. Parking is available at teh Froggy Hollow and Wilson Mill Parking areas. Shuttle vans will transport folks to the Kingsley Parking Lot where you can take a horse and carriage ride to the school house. Oakley Cabin Tours

Oakley Cabin African American Museum & Park has reopened for the 2010 season. Free tours are given by the trained docents of Oakley Cabin from Noon to 4pm on each second and fourth Saturday, April - November 2010.

Underground Railroad Experience Trail Hikes

Guided hikes will resume for the 2010 season on Saturday, April 3. Free guided hikes will be held every Saturday through November 6 at 10:00am. Hyattstown Mill Art Project

The mill is operated by the Hyattstown Mill Arts Project (HMAP), which hosts rotating exhibits and live music performances in the Mill Gallery from April through October. The gallery is open weekends, holidays and for special events. Call 301-874-2452 for more information.

Josiah Henson Site (formerly called Riley Farm/"Uncle Tom's Cabin")
