Archaeology Summer Workshops & Fieldschools
Montgomery County Department of Parks offers children and adults the opportunity to participate in the rewarding experience of discovering our human past through archaeology. Participants in our summer workshops and fieldschools work side-by-side with the Park archaeologists.
Children's workshops are offered to students aged 9 to 13 years; adult field schools are offered to those 16 years and older.
Workshops are generally one week in length and include instruction in excavation and laboratory techniques, field trips, and fun projects. Participants can expect to assist the Park archaeologists in the excavation and study of one of our many archaeological sites in Montgomery County.
To join the fun and excitement of discovering our past, visit www.ParkPass.org for additional information or email Heather.Bouslog@MontgomeryParks.org or call the Archaeology Program office at 301-840-5848.
